April Gratitude Practice: Partnership

Today, I am grateful for my partnership with Dan, my horses and our dog.

I am grateful for 2 people, who are doing their best, to fill the hole in my life, from losing my dear friend last summer.

I am also grateful for my coach. She too has been filling that hole in ways I hadn't realized until this moment. (I teared up writing these gratitudes, maybe because I was reliving, not retelling the story in my head. Healing takes the time it takes).

I am grateful for the weather, as it has returned to spring. I played with Image and Onyx this morning. While playing I was getting hot in my winter clothes. I actually removed my hat and neck scarf when I went to give Onyx his hay. He was a bit testy this morning. He gets so jealous when I play with another horse. He also went backwards a little bit, his ears were back and he was sneaking hay. Image had been sneaking hay, so why not try that? Silly boy.

I decided to encourage hay as a reward, for Onyx, like I had for Image. Once I did that, he was like, oh, I can eat the hay, now?

Yes, I heard you.

Onyx actually offered lovely circles today, both directions. He got a little close, hmm, just like Image did. He is such a copycat. I was easily able to send him further away from me.

I am so grateful that I was able to hear my coach in my head. Put your belly button energy on the tail. I was asking myself, where is my energy, how am I with my horse today? Am I using my body language and mind in a way to communicate what I am asking for? Am I being fair? Am I doing what they want to do first, so we can eventually do what I am asking for?

I love being able to play with my horses at feeding time. I am so grateful. Dan video taped me with both of the horses this morning.I can't wait to watch the videos. Our partnership is pretty amazing.

I am grateful for these relationships and partnerships.

I have said this before, but our angelic team must be asking themselves similar questions as they learn to communicate with us.
