Firelight Blessings: Meditation Day 2

Dan, my amazing husband, pointed out a snow covered 'Horse Angel' as we walked from the barn to the house. Onyx had created it earlier. He told me that it was snow covered now, but there had been a beautiful heart, which he hoped he had captured, when he first saw it. If you stand right here, you can still see part of it. He was right, I could see it, even though the snow had covered part of it up.

My heart beamed. He knows just how important hearts are to me.

Interestingly, hearts were on my mind just before I joined my husband in the barn. The words, 'Listen through your heart,' came to me in a response I wrote, for another's meditation. I had intended to write, 'Listen with your wisdom for the truth,' but instead 'Listen through your heart,' came through my fingers. I felt my angel team had guided me to write, "Listen through your heart' for a reason.

There are no coincidences, when those words came from my fingers, I knew I was being asked to type them. My first thought, after I hit send, was, "I wonder what will arrive when I meditate today?" because that phrase was incredibly powerful. In fact, I have goosebumps as I am writing about these two morning events. I believe they are significant.

I found a lovely River Meditation, with a soundwave mixed with running water sounds, to listen to, during today's meditation. I read the meditation notes for Day 2 from "The Path To Hearing Angels and Guides," by Debbra Lupien and promptly was distracted by food. Yes, food.

Have you ever had an egg baked in an avocado before? I haven't either... It is cooking now. Since, it takes just 20 minutes to cook. I can set my timer and meditate while it cooks. Yea, right! It is now about done, so I will enjoy my breakfast and meditate after... don't worry, I will let you know how it tasted.

I must admit, the baked egg in an avocado, with a little cheese on top, was amazing. I added a little tomato to it as well, after it cooled off a little bit. I will definitely make this again, though, I will not cook it in the avocado skin. I will peel it or scoop it all out and cook without the skin. Peeling it after it cooked, was simply way too messy.

I love that I was inspired to try something new and that I can make it better for me to enjoy, on another day. I am 'hearing' that meditating is like this, too! Try it one way, but if it doesn't work for you that way after giving it a taste, try it another way. Find what is best for you!

The meditation is still playing over my headband ear buds. I noticed there are also birds singing along the riverbank, as the water flows by. It is lovely. My husband is working happily on the bathroom remodel and doesn't need my help at the moment. We just finished carrying down 2 ends of a cabinet he was able to selvage from the bathroom sink we are removing. He is going to put these 2 ends together to make a storage cabinet which he can use in his future workroom in the basement.

It feels right, I am ready to meditate.

Opening Prayer page 33. (this is the 3rd time I have read it this morning, now it is actually after noon, LOL) I must be connected, now!

Timer set: 15 minutes!

My eyes are closed. My fingers find the keys.  Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out. Deeper, deeper, deeper. I find myself moving to where I was yesterday. A swirl with a light center appears. Could it be a small heart? Ripples are moving out from it as I breathe in and out. In and out.

I feel a wave of energy moving through my body, up from the earth, through my toes, knees, lower back, shoulders, head, and now down my arms, into my fingers.

Breathe, breathe, in and out. Good, you are staring out slower, more connected. Breathe. Relax. Allow. Trust your heart. Trust your fingers. Trust your soul to hear the message.

( oops, I just typed two keys again.)

Distracted, but I think I am back on the right keys.

Breath. Trust. Relax. Flow.

I asked, "Was 'Listen through your heart' important?"

Yes, of course it was, there are no mistakes. (I missed a key) No Mistakes. No coincidences. Stop thinking about typing and go with the flow. You can do this.  Breathe.

Find your sweet spot.  Listen to the birds, They sing from their heart.

The heart is getting larger. The ripples are moving out from it.

OOPS I am distracted.... I see that there are five minutes left...

It's ok. Breathe. Return to where you were... Follow the heart down. Go deeper... deeper, we are here when you are ready. Waiting to send you love light and healing energy.

I need healing?

Yes, of course you do, we all do from time to time, to be our best. You have been giving healing light to many... now it is time to fill up with heart love and light.  Bask in this light... lovelight.

As I do, I can feel my heart expand... my lungs take in a long deep breath.  My fingers are tingling

I move my body as if I am floating in water. Stretching and going with the flow.  All tension, leaves my back and I feel refreshed.

I am grateful for the healing light and energy

The alarm rings.

I open my eyes! Turn it off and take in a long deep breath. I can't wait to see how my typing looks. After a quick glance through, I think editing will be easier than it was yesterday. I will let you in on a little secret. last night, it occurred to me to trim my fingernails. I had thought that maybe it would allow my fingers to feel the keys better while my eyes were closed, it seems to have helped.

Wow, I just edited what I typed with my eyes closed. Spell check fixed all but one word. I had typed 'Firds' instead of birds. Spell check wanted it to be 'Fords' which simply made me laugh. I do believe that clipping my fingernails helped, as did remembering to slow down, as I breathed in, and out, while I also relaxed.

I am honestly not surprised that this magical message was about filling up with heart love and light. This was a powerful meditation and gift full of healing. I am very grateful.

Closing Prayer.

I found that I needed to shift and flex today, before I was ready to meditate. There are no coincidences, everything happened in exactly the right order today. I slept well, I did chores, walked with my neighbor, ate a lovely brunch and I received a lovely healing gift, from my Angelic Team, through meditation.

When asked to shift and flex, can you do it gracefully?

After a shift, can you see and feel that everything happened just the way it was supposed to happen?

Are you listening through your heart?

21 Day Meditation: Round 6 Day 1

1/11/24 I reread the first 33 pages of Debbra Lupien's book, The Path to Hearing Angels and Guides, in preparation for the 6th round of the 21 Day Meditation. I picked up on messages as if it was the first time I had read it. It was very inspirational.

As usual, I find myself procrastinating just a little bit. Get my coffee, stoke the fire, make sure Dan doesn't need me to help him with anything. Maybe because I know that once I sit down and get focused, my focus is razor sharp. I forget to do everything else. I love being in the zone and am incredibly grateful that I have time now to connect, manifest, meditate and write freely. It has become a daily routine that I cherish. I live a magical life for which I am grateful.

Before I set the timer, I decided to Read Day 1 in the book. Pages 35 - 38. I am glad that I did, I needed a little laughter. I am getting a little bit too serious. Hmmm, imagine that? Now that I am writing 3-5 or more days a week, I have a routine. I take lots of pictures. I refer to them before I write. I think of a topic based on the pictures and I start to write. While writing, I ask my team to help me. I ask them what they want to add or change. The story becomes a team effort, it flows from my heart out onto the page. I don't call it meditation, though it is in a way. So why does this feel different?

This is my 6th round of doing the 21-Day Meditation with the group. I have changed up the way I do it every single time I have tuned in. I sat in my comfortable chair by the window. I intended to meditate while sleeping, which was my plan for this round. I got nothing last night, though. I wrote on paper while meditating. Once I laid on the floor and wrote afterwards.

So, what feels right for this round? I have the laptop in front of me, I am sitting at the table, the fire is lit and I am comfortable. My fingers know the keys well. I pulled up a new page in my blog. I titled it, wrote from my heart. I read the opening Prayer. I hunted for the timer on my phone, because I moved it after I retired in April, it was not where I thought it would be. I don't need that darn alarm anymore! Right? Wrong, I need it today. I set the timer and... the dog wanted out, OOPS!

Ok, reset the timer and go!

I asked for an image. A black swirl arrived. No image as of yet. An abyss. I am asked to go deeper. Breathe. Let go and trust. Let your fingers type. They know where the keys are. Right? I am hitting two keys at a time. I can feel them. Breath. relaxe. Allow. Slow down. Find your way. Breath,

My breathing is sporadic. I hold my breath. I hear, Breathe. Allow. slow down. Go deeper. I feel vibrations in my arms, my thighs and my back as I am asked to release the tension I feel there. I ask for an image once again. Oops, I was distracted... (I returned my focus to my breathing)

Deep breath. It's time to work without an image. Oh. Ok. Listen, Feel. Trust. Breathe with purpose, in, out, breath. Go deeper, let go. Find the rhythm.

An image will come in time. For today, breathe, let go and trust! We are going deeper.

The dark circle is shifting. A pond with ripples or an eye with eyelashes appears.  Breath, allow, connect... I am grateful for the ripple and the Eye.

The timer went off.

Oh my, typing with my eyes closed was hard. I am not going to lie. I was given permission to edit, so I will before I share. Though it was hard, I feel that it is exactly what I need to do, to go deeper. I remember one time I was given a whale in the deep sea. I don't remember if that was on day one or not. I may need to go back and check the dates and the information. I feel as though reviewing the past rounds must wait. This is a new round and must stand on its own for now.

I just finished editing the crazy typing errors. What I found interesting, is that spellcheck figured out some of the errors. However, some of them, I needed to really focus on, to decipher. Since I had shifted my left hand to the right, I was able to slowly figure out what the words were. Interestingly, because I had been asked to type them, I did not remember exactly what I had intended to type.  When I remembered to ask my team to remind me what the words were, I was able to solve the puzzle faster. In fact I thought of it as a puzzle while I was putting my left hand, one key to the right to figure out which keys I was trying to hit. How fun. I guess I needed to play a fun game today, too!

I would say that today's meditation was successful. I am absolutely ready to go deeper.

Closing prayer from the book.

Please note: The picture was one I took weeks ago. It reminded me of what I saw today, during the meditation.

Firelight Blessings: Self Care Routines?

My neighbor walks every morning, regardless of the weather. On Sundays, she walks in the early afternoon. We saw her walking, so I ran out to give her something important that I had for her. The weather was perfect, no snow, no ice, very little wind. She was dressed for walking. I was not, I had on my clunky, but warm, barn boots, several layers of clothes and my regular glasses. We chatted for a short time, but she wanted to keep moving, so she invited me to walk with her.

I pondered a moment, but agreed to walk with her. We laughed, and talked as we moved our feet. Let me tell you, she can walk fast, but she slowed down for me. I put her on the outside, as we followed the circle, in front of both of our homes around for a while. I suggested this, so she could move her feet more than I was moving mine. I wanted her to be able to move as fast as she normally does.

She kindly invited me to join her the next day. The problem for me, is that she walks earlier than I am ready to go. I have my daily routine, that does not yet include walking. HMMM. We compromised and met in the middle, but it was hard for both of us. I had not completed my morning routine. I hadn’t had my coffee, fed the dog or taken my vitamins, among other things!

The next morning arrived. We had received a couple inches of beautiful snow overnight. The snow was lovely however, and I had on better boots, so I could actually walk, instead of clunking along. I remembered to put on my sunglasses, too, because I hoped that they would protect my face from the cold, which they did. It was a little slippery, but it was still a lovely walk. I could feel my muscles vibrating, which was a good feeling. I was so glad that I had been invited to join her.

When we finished our walk. She said, I need to continue my daily routine. Meaning, I have to start at my normal time. Waiting for me isn’t going to work for her. She also said that I am always welcome to join her at a particular time!

I loved her honesty. I love that she put herself first and let me know in a kind way, that her day starts at a certain time. I believe that we will walk together again, most likely on Sunday afternoons, but what I learned from her, is that it is important to be honest about our personal needs and routines with ourselves and with others. I appreciate her, for loving herself as much as she does. I appreciate her, because she takes self care so seriously. She inspires me to do the same!

She has caused me to think about my current needs and routines. What do I need to add to my life to make sure I am taking care of my emotional and physical needs, as well as, my horses and dogs physical and emotional needs, too? Where can I carve out more time for self care and what should I do during that time? What do I need to start doing or shift, to make sure that I am meeting all of these needs and following healthy self care routines, that sustain us all, emotionally and physically?

Movement is important. During the summer I move more… Now that winter has set in, I am concerned that I will not move as often. I am cutting, splitting and stacking wood regularly. I am running up and down the stairs to do laundry, I am going out to the barn to help do chores, but I am not doing as many physical activities as I do during Spring, Summer and Fall.

I know that it is in my best interest to keep up a movement practice. It always has been important, but as I age, I can see that it is even more important to develop a self care routine, that helps me to be stronger, more flexible and healthier, emotionally and physically.

As I ponder what my self care routine is going to be and what I will honestly commit to, during the winter months, what does self care look like for you?

Do you have a routine that you stick to, or are you flexible and fit it in whenever and wherever you can?

Who inspires you to take better care of yourself?

I am honestly looking for ideas to inspire me to start a movement, self care routine, that I will and can commit to, during these long winter months. Thank you for your time!

Firelight Blessings: Magical Horsehead!

My heart smiled when I saw this horsehead, yesterday, while splitting and stacking some damp oak wood. I will let it dry out, and round off the nose before Dan clear coats it for me. I will display it proudly.

It is a beautiful piece of wood that reminds me of the story, I wrote this summer, after my dear friend earned her Angel Wings. I have been blessed by many magical images, messages and whispers of love from my Angelic Team. I am incredibly grateful for this one, too!

It also reminds me of the horsehead, my dear friend’s husband created, for displaying their loved horse’s horse tails. (Horse tails are kept by many of us, after our heart horses cross over.) The horsehead that appeared for me yesterday may be what I use, to cherish our horse tails, too! It’s magical, whimsical and was a gift from my angelic team, which my dear friend is now a member of.

I wonder, did my friend participate in creating this amazing gift while I was splitting wood?

Have you been blessed by an image or creation that is meaningful to you?

Do you hear the loving sweet whispers your Angelic Team sends to you?

Firelight Blessings: Spiritual Guides

The Magic Glass gifted me with an image of a bird, possibly an owl and a Koala Bear. Each of them appears to be sitting on a branch. Owl images and visits, have been showing up in my life for years. Bears, of course, too! I don't remember ever seeing a Koala in person.

I am fascinated by Koala Bears. I enjoy watching various programs and or reading articles about them. I know that they eat primarily eucalyptus leaves, are from Australia and are marsupials, which means that they have a pouch to raise their young in. They sleep a lot, move slowly and prefer warm weather. Rest, commune with nature and going with the flow, are some of the spiritual gifts of the Koala.

An owl sleeps during the day and like me, is up at night. They are hunters and as it turns out, in Australia, big owls hunt Koalas. Humm. Good thing the owl in this image is a smaller one! Wisdom and insight are spiritual gifts of the owl.

I am blessed, that I live on a small acreage with a beautiful Pine Tree forest. The trees surround a lovely meadow. This is a great habitat for owls as well as other animals. I am grateful that I can commune with nature on a regular basis. Today, I will enjoy the grounding energy of earth, as we split wood, in preparation for the upcoming snowstorm. The snowstorm  is expected to arrive tonight. Believe it or not, I am incredibly grateful that snow is arriving, instead of ice, as can happen here this time of year. Once the snowstorm arrives, I will heed the message of the Koala. I will rest and go with the flow. Once prepared we will live primarily inside for a few days (when we are not attending to the horses or plowing).

We are almost ready for the next weather pattern to arrive. We have just a few more things to do to be 100% ready for the drastic change. We need to split and stack the wood we cut yesterday. We need to put the plows on the tractor and side by side and drag the tractor tracks we put in the arena when we moved hay into the barn. Dragging the tracks will help to prevent slippery spots from developing. We are heeding the messages of the owl, by being wise and listening to our intuition, so that we are well prepared.

Honestly, I prefer the same outdoor temperatures Koalas need to survive in, but since I live where it can get very cold, I will take the Koala's lead. I will go with the flow during the next 2 weeks, as the Polar Vortex moves into our area, after the snow moves out. I will be grateful for the blessings winter brings.

I am blessed to be able to see, feel, hear and heed beautiful messages from my spiritual guides, my Angelic Team and/or Universal love and wisdom.

An owl is a common spiritual guide for me. What animal is a common spiritual guide for you?

Have you received a recent blessing from one of your spiritual guides?

What was that message?
