Angelic Communion Practice: Preparations and Creativity

Fall has turned around after a week of freezing temps! So winter Preparations have continued with these warmer temps! No hand warmers have been needed to keep my fingers warm! Deep sigh of relief, as this reprieve is welcomed with open arms!

Thank you angels for answering my request! I wasn't ready for a long cold winter!

Dan kept working on the 'to do,' list! He put up snow guards on the roof above our split wood pile! Last year, without them, we had some heavy snow fall in large sheets and hit us! It wasn't funny, but we learned the hard way about how dangerous metal roofs can be! Yikes!

I rearranged our small deck for winter! Again! 3rd time is the charm! I think it meets all our needs for the cold winter months! We can both sit by the fire on warmer days! Tipper has a spot and the smoker is easily accessible, without obscuring the view! It feels cozy, too!

I had to get creative and think outside the box to meet all of our needs!

Update on Spitz! I pondered the recent cat images I had received and while petting Spitz I noticed he was matted! That is very unusual for him! I suspect his range of motion isn't what it was or because Coal isn't around he needed help with grooming! So, I brushed and combed him until they were gone!

I was grateful for the angel's cat messages! I bet Spitz was too!

Sometimes we need to trust our angels to speak to us in a quiet way! Other times the answers are loud and clear! I was reminded this morning about a decision I struggled with a few weeks ago! I have no regrets saying no! Had I said yes, there are things I have loved doing, that I would have missed out on!

Do you listen to your inner wisdom, to that beautiful angelic voice, that simply knows the answer to a question?

Do you honor the deep knowing answer?

Or do you argue and stress about the decisions you are or have made?

I can easily stress and worry, that has been my habit, however I am grateful that I have been trusting my deeper connection with my heart and living a happier, more magical and peaceful life!

Angelic Communion Practice: Giraffe or Guinea?

A few days ago, a lovely image of 2 giraffes appeared in the Magic Glass! I noticed it and wondered about the message my angels were sending us! Yes, us! Us because this message is for all who see and read it!

I looked up the spiritual meaning for the eloquent giraffe! Stand tall, remain calm, focus on the horizon and my favorite is to find balance between your heart and your thinking!

I often say that to write, I must write from my heart, but to edit, I must be in my thinking side of my brain!

For many years as a teacher, I wrote individual educational plans for my students! I spent a great deal of time in the thinking side of my brain! It was draining and stressful! I needed to make sure everything was perfect and accurate! Over the years, I became disconnected from my heart!

Since I retired, the creative heart centered energy has been bubbling up!  I find myself in an amazing loving flow! I still connect to the thinking aspect of life, but I prefer to explore where my heart pulls my attention!

This morning a guinea found its way to our horse pasture! We had heard there was one in the neighborhood, but we had not seen it until today!

It apparently likes to announce its presence because it was loud, very loud!  The horses were high headed and on alert! I was curious, I had never heard one before,  so I didn't know what it was! When it appeared I was glad it appeared! It is welcome here!

My herd will be better because of it! The noise and irratic movements will help them to be calmer, braver, trail horses! Guinea also eat bugs and I hope, mice! It will help the horses to stand tall, remain calm and become more balanced!

What changes have occurred in your life to bring your focus back to your heart?

Are you balanced, standing tall with your eyes on the horizon!

Are you able to remain calm and centered?

Or are you like the Guinea, wondering noisily here and there, stirring up or causing a ruckus?

Is there a guinea personality in your life? What has or is that ruckus teaching you? Does it cause anxiety or curiosity?

May you find a balance in your life between your heart and your thinking!

Angelic Communion Practice: Self care

This morning as I asked for inspiration and guidance to write, I was inspired to write about self care!

We gravitated to the deck after we poured ourselves a cup of coffee! With a lit fire and a blanket to keep the chill at bay we enjoyed our time together!

The horses are quietly munching their hay! Tipper is lying at our feet.

Self care, rest and relaxation! This week we physically worked hard. We cut firewood, hauled it home and stacked it! We brought a load of hay home and put it away! The arena was dragged! Prepping for winter was made easier with warmer temps and gifts from friends!

Self care for our bodies, but also our minds! We visited with several friends this week! We enjoyed a huge bonfire over coffee! We sat on the deck chatting after a morning of physical work another day and we chatted with a couple of other friends before we cut firewood during the middle of the week!

Mindful self care! We drove through our trails! Saw a little possum preparing for winter, we watched a young buck eating in the meadow, we heard the calls of male pheasants and watched the antics of the crows!

We enjoyed smoked salmon, chicken, and sweet potatoes! We laughed hysterically when silly things happened. Laughter is self care! Lifting logs is self care, resting by the fire and talking to friends is self care! Noticing and appreciating a calm mind, heart and soul is self care!

Find time for self care, let go of the stress, the worries and the rushing from task to task! Sit by the fire, enjoy friends and spend time in nature!

What can you do today or this week to take moments for self care and mindfulness?

Angelic Communion Practice: Ying and Yang

The Magic Glass has created several interesting pictures of cats over the last week! The 2 cats, Ying and Yang, may be one of my favorite images!

I am unsure of the meaning of all of these cat images! Are they messages from the cats who have crossed the veil or is there a specific meaning I may discover as time passes?

We have one fairly tame barn cat and one very, very wild black cat who visits sporadically! Both are very old!

Spitz was born here. His mother was also a very wild cat! Spitz was from a litter of 4 wild munchkins! He is mostly white with black markings! He chooses his people carefully! Sometimes he says hello to visitors, sometimes he runs and hides! He trusts Dan and I, but is selective with others!

Coal is all black! He used to hide or run, but in his older days he has slowed down! Unfortunately, I haven't seen him in the last several weeks! It's not uncommon for him to disappear from our sight for long periods of time!
I ponder the various messages these images may be sending! Has Coal crossed over? Are these messages from him? Is Spitz nearing the end of his days with us?

Is the message in the Ying and Yang image? As I ask my angels this question, I feel a gentle peace wash over my heart!

Looking at both sides of a perspective may be the important message! Good and bad! Weaknesses vs strengths! Possible vs impossible! Young vs old!

Listening with the heart vs listening with a judgmental ego?

Why would a cat represent Ying and Yang? Cats are hunters, yet also lovers! Cats are independent yet crave connection! Cats can be playful or aggressive!

The same cat can be all of these things depending upon the situation and community they live in! I am this way, too!

Maybe, just maybe, the Ying and Yang is for me? Maybe the message is to love both sides of myself! The Ying and the Yang. The strong and the weak! The lover and the fighter! The calm and the anxious! The patient and the impatient! The hugger and the runner!

My angel team had a lot to say through these persistent cat images!

I am grateful for this time to reflect!

Are you aware of your personal Ying and Yang?
Can you see the Ying and the Yang in your life, your relationships, in the world?
Do you appreciate and love your Ying and Yang sides?
How can you love and appreciate both Ying and Yang in others, too?

PS, there was one more image of a cat! It was in the tree Dan cut down a couple of days ago!

Angelic Communion Practice: 11.3.23

As we prepared to cut a dead elm tree down, Dan found this beautiful feather! A turkey feather! A blessing from our angels, most likely my dad!

Before he died, I told him to soar with the eagles, many many times! The day he crossed my husband was deer hunting on this same land! Our friends own the beautiful farm and forest land and have graciously shared it with us for years! I drove there, to the farm, to tell him!

As I drove down their long driveway, soaring above their beautiful pasture, were 7 big birds! Of course in my heart they were all eagles! (So, I go with that story, though they could have been Turkey Vultures! Lol)

Dan prepared to cut the tree! He clears out any brush around it, so he can run, if need be! Tipper and I watched from a safe distance! The first saw, unfortunately started to be fussy! He really needed a second saw, but he realized, it wasn't safe for me to bring it to him! He carried on! The tree fell!

It was still hanging onto the stump! It was not yet safe to cut up! Dan asked me to bring the second saw! The moment I got to him, the blade on his first saw became pinched between the lower trunk and the upper trunk that had twisted as it fell a few more inches!

Together, we were able to free it safely from the grip of the tree! Together, we cut and loaded the logs onto the trailer! He cut down a second, smaller tree, which we also cut up and loaded! I was breathing hard, but we had room for more wood on the trailer! So we decided to cut another tree!

The 3rd tree, he cut, stayed standing. The top was tangled in the branches of 2 other trees! Amazing how they intermingle and support each other!

We found another log, down the hill a little ways, that had fallen on its own several years ago! We took turns cutting and hauling the wood up the hill to the trailer!

This morning, our bodies are sore from the adventure! I remember thanking our angels several times yesterday for their help, but I don't remember asking for help when the saw was caught, or the tree didn't fall or for help climbing up the hill, when my breathing was labored!

I thought about that off and on this morning! Angelic Communion is in fact a 2 way conversation! I can do better! I am always expressing gratitude, which is an excellent start, but I feel as though I can do more!

That's it for this part of the day, yesterday! Though, I found my self laughing a lot about technical difficulties later in the day! Once again, I didn't ask for help, I just laughed at the crazy coincidences!

I wonder, had I asked for help with the technical issues, would I have had a successful connection? Or, were our angel teams actually sending us this message? Laugh more! Laugh at the silly things!

We could have laughed when the saw wouldn't work,or when it got caught in the tree! We could have seen the humor when the tree didn't fall, instead it looked like a giant spider on the hillside! Oh and when 3rd tree stood tall and balanced, refusing to fall, we could have at least chuckled!

Actually, now that I think about it, I did chuckle, a little tiny bit! Even though, I kept an eye on it, as we walked back and forth past it, to load the trailer!

It really took experiencing 3 failed connection attempts, to do a promised Live, on Facebook for me to get the message! When my friend called after the second attempt to connect, I answered the phone laughing hysterically before I even said hello! I had just lit the propane fire, but I did it wrong! I accidentally let to much propane flow out, before I pushed in the starter.... it went woooshhh!

After I had these pondering thoughts this morning, I pulled on my sweatshirt! My glasses became completely tangled in my hair!

Yep, 'laugh more', was definitely the message, along with communication is always a 2-way street!

Do you laugh throughout the day or do you get way too serious while doing your day to day activities?

How do your angels communicate with you?

How do you communicate with your angel team?

Can you find humor throughout your day and find more ways to connect with your angel team?

Angelic Communion Practice: 11.2.23

I was mesmerized by our huge flock of crows yesterday morning! They were flying, like dive bombing kites, above the trees behind the barn! I lost count as to how many were doing this. 10, 20, 30 or more!

Their behavior was a signal of danger to my soul! Not dangerous for me, but they were telling the forest animals to be aware! A fox, cat, coyote pack, hawk or other predator was present in the woods!

They continued this behavior for a long time! They were moving west along the tops of the trees, though! The danger, was on the move! I don't see these amazing acrobatics everyday, but when I do, I watch, I listen and I ponder!

What do they perceive as dangerous? Do I need to be worried for my horses, my dog or my barn cats?
Later in the day, while away from the farm, the pine forest and the peace and quiet of home, sirens sounded and lights flashed! Firetrucks and ambulances raced past us! They were going south, towards our home! There were too many to count, as they flew by!
Once again, a sign of danger! This time it was a warning for humans! Where were they going? Do I need to be worried for our horses, our dog or our barn cats?

I noticed my anxiety was rising, so I asked my angel team and my husband if we needed to be worried! Had we stoked the fire before we left? No, it was not burning hot!

I asked my angels to protect the herd, the barn cats and dog. I took a very deep breath and let it out slowly! My anxiety lessened with each deep breath. We did not rush home, we continued with our errands!

Interestingly, the fire was not far from our home, as the crow flies! 2 or 3 miles to the east is all. An RV caught fire at a gas station! Fortunately, it was easily put out, but it could have been a very dangerous situation!

Last night the crows flew north, back to the warmth of the city! I was grateful for their messages! High alert in the morning, peaceful and calm at night!

This morning, I realized that the crows and sirens, gave me an opportunity to 'commune' with my angel team! I was able to feel curiosity about the crows, as they signaled the forest animals. They believed that there was a dangerous situation happening in the woods! I also felt actual fear and worry when the firetrucks and First Responders sped by! As we have been conditioned to believe that an emergency has occurred in the area.

Both times I checked in with them, my angelic team! Both times I was able to release the energy of worry, fear and anxiety!

I was grateful for the opportunity to feel, connect and release the perceived fear! I practiced connecting with my higher self and my angelic team!

I am grateful that my angel team used the crows to teach me an important lesson! Be aware, be curious, but let it go if you're not in immediate danger!

Can you remember a time when you observed birds, deer, or another group of animals, sounding a danger alarm?

Did you notice your reaction? Where you curious or afraid?

How did you respond the last time you saw and or heard a Firetruck racing to an emergency?

Did you notice any tightness in your body? Were you able to release it, so you could return to neutral?
