Rock Reflection Ritual - Magical Day

Rock Reflection Ritual

It was a magical day on the water!

A unicorn guarded the entrance to the enchanted forest!

Magical flying faeries escorted our vessel guiding the way to visit the high flying majestic leaders of the water realm!

A white smoky mist was held at bay by the sparkling  mermaides!

Their powerful spells protected all of the creatures who were summuned to enjoy and frolic in the magic of the day!

The captain of the ship skillfully navigated around and through the dancing water trees as we followed the peaceful and calm magnetic energy to its source!

As we rounded the final bend, flying high in the sky, the answer to the quest we were pulled to experience  was revealed!

The leader of the magical realm had produced an heir to the thrown!

The enchanted water kingdom had gifted us with an incredible magical adventure!

Have you ever experienced a moment in time that teleported you into a place of harmony and love that felt too magical to be true?

Treasure those moments! Call on them, as they will lead you to another magical adventure!

Manifest a magical day!

Rock Reflection Ritual - Stuck

 Rock Reflection Ritual

Yesterday I found myself in my thinking side of my brain! My heart space was blocked! I was creatively as stuck as I could be!

I had ridden along with my husband to fix a camper! The plan was that I would write in the truck! I had been there before and knew it was a beautiful setting out in the country!

No worries,  I can write there! I have my phone, wifi connection and time! What more do I need? Apparently a lot more!

I was met with incredible resistance! First, I was still trying to remember all of the ins and outs of writing in this blog space vs a Facebook post! I simply couldn't move from my over thinking brain space, to my heart space!

Second, I realized I didn't have my Rock, I wasn't grounded! I wasn't connected to earth and my anxiety was starting to rise! Could I write like I did on the other platform? Could I write in a different location, the truck? Was it time to change my format, my style my focus and my purpose because of these changes?

Finally, I let go of my concerns and looked outside!  I asked my magical team of angels for inspiration!  I asked for help! I asked for guidance! I felt drawn to be in nature, to ground myself! This is what I saw!

Rocks, trees, and beautiful  natural looking landscaping! My energy shifted!

I stepped out of the truck and took in the sounds, sights and magic of it all that  surrounded me!
The beauty pierced my soul! I was grounded, I was inspired and once again at peace! The magical ray of light dancing through the trees drew me into natures heart space, where I became one with her energy  frequency!

Have you ever been stuck inside your head? Thoughts of fear, anxiety and questions spin relentlessly like a mind tornado through your head!?!

How do you return to your magical heart space, where creativity and answers live?

Who do you ask to guide you? God, angels, the universe, Mother Nature or another higher power?

Rock Reflection Ritual - Rhythm

 Rock Reflection Ritual

Rhythm! Rain! Ripening!

Life, in particular Mother Nature, has a rhythm we learn to follow! Patterns are everywhere we just need to recognize them!

Our rainfall this year hasn't followed the typical pattern we all depend on! We started out with way too much rain, which was followed by spotty rain, if any arrived at all!

Yesterday, after a spattering of rain we dragged our outdoor arena, before taking a drive through the trees! We enjoy our amazing patches of wild Black Caps each year! We pick them to enjoy right from the plant or to eat with yogurt, pancakes or ice cream! Yummy!

Without adequate amounts of rain, the natural rhythm of ripening fruit must adapt and change! Yesterday,  we checked several patches as we drove through the property! The fruit is appearing, the color is slow to change from green, to red,  to tasty purple! With eagle eyes we spotted 4 beautiful ripe fruits!

We Shared the tasty morsels as we drove on! Just as we reached the far end of the property, we were greeted with a downpour! We laughed and laughed as we flew home through the meadow and the trees! The rain was short lived, but ever so welcomed.

Mother Nature's rhythm is hopefully restored, the summer fruit can finish ripening!

Learning the rhythm of life is important, however adjusting to the pauses in the rhythm, is just as important!

Do you remember a time in your life where the rhythm was different? How did you pause? What did that feel like? Was it welcomed or was it worrisome?

Racing home in the rain was a magical adventure! A welcomed celebration of a sudden, though short burst of rain!

Manifest a magical day!

Blogging.... AGAIN

My life has changed again. I have retired. My heart was pulled to start writing.... again! So, I retired!

I have been writing, just not blogging! I will move some of my current writing here in the coming days! Rock Reflection Ritual is what I have been calling it on Facebook. I started a group called Magical Heart Reflections. This has been going really well, until FB would not let me post into the group! Interestingly, that post was all about expectations and being able to pivot.

Apparently, it is time to go with the flow and pivot again, back to the blog? Maybe!

I see I can also add photos, which is important! I just noticed the flame floating over the fire!

I had not noticed this orb before! Maybe it is my sign, that I am on the right path, once again?

Could writing be my purpose?

Rock Reflection Ritual - Stagecoach Trail

 Rock Reflection Ritual

Jewel was my Engagement present! A 4 year old Morgan Gelding! He was the perfect horse for me at that time in my life!

Once our bond was strong, we were unstoppable! We rode many different trails! He was hot to go and we went… fast!

Turns out he was a multi-gaited Morgan! He could do all gaits, but dog walk! Many people didn't like to ride with him, because he was fast! He was a great trail leader for faster horses, though!

The other day we, Dan Kirchner and I, took our side by side to a friend's trail nearby! We went through the creek and around the bends!

When we started up the Stagecoach trail, I felt Jewel with us! I teared up, as I remembered every single step we took on that trail! It is a long trail that starts out gradual, but the push at the end is steep!

Grass was the reward for the horses, water for the riders!

Memories of magical adventures with friends, horses and dogs are precious!

What magical memories are you creating today?

Rock Reflection Ritual - Expectations

Rock Reflection Ritual

A new spot to feel gratitude and reflect was created! There is a lot more shade in this area of the yard!

Tipper accepted it right away! Bear, has not! He smells the sand and walks away! Interesting! My expectation was for him to accept it, as Tipper did!

Change from routine can be hard to accept! It can be difficult to enter into the same energy flow when one experiences a change in one's routine!

It's a few hours past our usual time to reflect together! Bear, was begging me to join him earlier, so I did as I also enjoyed my breakfast! He seemed satisfied, though there wasn't time for me to write! My expectations shifted!

A storm is brewing! It's above us, but the drops are far and few between! I am soaking in the energy from this new grounding location! The energy is good! I can find my zen here!

I can feel my anxiety as it flows through my body into the ground! Storms worry me! They always have, but grounding, or as I call it, rocking, is pulling that extra energy away! I didn't expect that!

What do you do to release energy and anxiety?  How do you shift your mood when your expectations are not met?

Can you pivot, shift and adjust? Can you find your zen in  a new location or experience? Does your magical aura shift with you or lag behind? Do you feel resistance or acceptance?

Manifest a magical day!

Rock Reflection Ritual - Out of Focus?

Rock Reflection Ritual - Out of Focus?
As I traveled from a memorial for a childhood friend, I saw this magnificent guy! I was headed to a luncheon for the people who had gathered to celebrate our friend!

Photo taken near Silver Lake MN by Debbie Soderberg Kirchner

I turned the truck around, so I could see him again! He had disappeared for a moment, but flew to this secluded spot, far from shore!
The focus is blurred! The message is sharp! I thought of him as a crane yesterday! It is however a Blue Heron! In my heart it was a stork! A sign of birth or rebirth!
At the luncheon we talked about finding dimes, seeing double rainbows, beautiful feathers and heartfelt visions! We talked, as goosebumps appeared on our arms! It was a very connected, deep conversation about messages we have personally experienced! Believing they were from loved ones who have crossed!
Photo by Debbie Soderberg Kirchner 1 year to the day that both Charm and Jewel crossed over the rainbow bridge.

Today, I pondered the message from the stork, crane, heron! Why had I seen it and felt it was so important to turn around to feel it's energy?
I had never seen one on this lake before, which I frequently went to in my childhood and young adult years! This lake is the home of many Canadian Geese, not Herons! It caught my attention and I respected it for doing so!
I saw it wading majestically in the water. Strong, beautiful and elegant! Just like my friend was! When I hunted for it, it wasn't there, it was hidden from sight! It reappeared as it flew away from shore! It made ripples in the water as it's long legs tapped the surface of the mirror like lake! It landed far out on this pile of branches, on a snag, to enjoy a meal it had carried with it!
Out of focus, yes! My phone was dark, I trusted that I had found it, as I captured the approximate location! Trust and feel!
Could the message be, that those who cross, are still with us, but out of focus? We must trust and feel for their messages as they touch the veil between us, leaving ripples for us to find?
Dimes, double rainbows, beautiful feathers, birds, heart rock's, and of course visions that feel so incredibly real!

Goosebumps? Messages? Ripples?

May you see, feel and trust them as you move through your life! May you feel love, comfort and peace!

Charm ~ Under Saddle

I rode Charm! Wow! Dan took some pictures. I was very nervous. She took care of me though. My second ride was so much better! I cannot wait for our next ride in two or three weeks!

Photo's from Feb 23, 2013. SIGH. Can't wait to go back down for more. The largest lesson I am learning is that - Stripping the fear from my mind has been like peeling an onion; peel, tears and peel again. WOW, relaxing my mind, letting go of fear also has a direct correlation with my body. Interesting process, interesting result, fear causes brace in my body. I honestly had no idea.

This first picture is of Adency and Charm. I love their focus!

The peeling of the onion, I had to approach that stirrup MANY times before I could even touch it. WOW.

                                                             Breath Debbie, Breath!

Our first point for Point to Point! I was very stiff and worried, she did a little spoke when the snow fell off the roof. Carol said something to make me laugh. I think it was, "Well, we had our first spoke and you survived!" Charm went down like a cat, but stayed put. She did not spin or bolt, LOVED it. Rode it and started to peel another layer off the onion.

Our second Point to Point. Carol brilliantly put Adency at this corner. Charm went to her, as I focused on her. WOW, that was a LONG WALL.

Dan took this short clip of us. It was during our 1st ride. Upload failed, I will try again later.

The first ride was over. WOW, breath, sigh, lick, chew, relax. tears... that was a huge onion skin.

Second ride. I was able to get my foot right into the stirrup. WOW, that was certainly an interesting moment and feel.

The difference was DRAMATIC between the first time I tried to put my foot in the stirrup to get on for the first ride and this second ride. I believe a HUGE fear had been released, so my leg/body was able to respond easily and freely.

I was moving with my horse much better to the right. Even though I forgot the pattern for the cloverleaf, I felt more relaxed.

I must say this thing called "fear" is so very interesting to me, how it effected my body was particularly interesting. This new awareness is very powerful for me to remember and let go of, so I can be the best me I can be, in all areas of my life. I keep thinking that I am right where I should be on my journey. We all are!

I love the look on her face. I was thinking and I suspect, biting my lip, LOL.

I had tears when I got off. She is growing up and maturing while being there. She loves Adency, which is wonderful. She is doing a great job with her. I saw huge changes between the last time I was there and today.

Granted, I saw changes in me too! Carol coached me 2 weeks ago, and again today. WOW. Just an hour or two every couple weeks is making changes in me too! (I think anyway!) I was a stiff board - NERVES - when riding the first time, the second time I felt a bit better. Carol had me get my hands moving with her front legs, which helped me to relax and breath so much better. HMM, I was holding my breath. I still have a long ways to go. Fear is certainly an interesting experience for me.

A few days later... as I was driving to work, I realized I was TIGHT and AFRAID. As I turned a corner and carefully merged with traffic, I remembered what I had felt like when I was not able to get my foot in the stirrup because I was so afraid that my leg kept being to tight to lift. Well, today when I felt this fear moving over me, I realized I needed to practice relaxing in that very moment. The roads were horrible, snow was everywhere and I was gripping the wheel with 2 hands. SIGH! Fortunately, becoming aware of my fear and tight muscles worked. I instantly relaxed, and took in long, slow, deep breaths. I figure becoming deeply aware of what it feels like, will certainly help me with my moments of fear!!!

Dreaming "Life" into Reality!

What is your dream?

Answer this question, feel it, see it, believe it, then... let go of it! Let it fly, let it soar.

As this fabulous dream becomes reality, magically, doors materialize out of nowhere, as if they were waiting for you to discover them all along.

These perfectly, beautiful opportunities appear, pulling you toward your dream of dreams!

Take a deep breath, exhale and walk into the dream.

                It really is that simple.

We dream life into our hearts, our hearts breath life into our passions, our passion dreams life into reality. Hmmm, how beautiful! (I was pondering today!)

"Burning Barn, GET OUT!"

I just realized that I have been "Running in Mindless Circles" trying to get back into a full time teaching position, which I now see as being the same behavior as when a horse runs back into a "burning barn". It is the only home and place of safety that the horse knows.

I realized this week that it, this experience, "feels" the same as when I went through my divorce. I would run into people who knew me from the real estate world, after we split up. When they found out I was separated/divorced, they would say, "WHAT you are not still with so and so?" I proceeded to burst into tears most of the time when these exchanges occurred, because it was so incredibly painful to remember and retell the story over and over and over again.

FYI, there really was LIFE after divorce, as my friends and family assured me there would be. I am amazingly content, settled and happy with Dan. So much so that I shake my head every time I think back on the emotional pain I suffered and the thousands of fears I had about life without my first husband. I was so scared and locked in a state of paralysis. Had I known that life would turn out as it has, I never would have let myself get that LOW or grovel like I did, for him to return. OMG... what a crazy habit that was and apparently still is. Read on.

This week, I took 2 classes for CEU's to keep my teaching license up to date. Interestingly, I ran into a bunch of teachers who asked me where I was teaching. I looked at them and said, "I am not teaching, I did not get another contract, I have been doing some subbing is all" or something like that cause I just stumbled over my words, because emotions were starting to take over and tears were beginning to form at the corners of my eyes. Anyway, my reaction and the feelings I felt from their words and dropped jaws, was oh so familiar. "WHAT, you do not have a contract with the district?" Astonishment on their faces.

The epiphany this week was that the HR people in the schools have divorced me. I keep trying to get them to take me back. Yep, I realized that I am "BEGGING" each time I send in an application. Currently, I have 12 active apps in one school district, (I would have more then that, but they stopped me at 12) and I must have 4 or more in other school districts in the area. Good grief, if that is not begging and "running in mindless circles" I don't know what is.

How interesting, the teachers love me and think I should be hired. However, HR says "no". So, I need to stop begging HR to take me back. I need to expand my wings and DO SOMETHING ELSE. I have played this record before, I have thought these thoughts before. But, I am not sure I have "felt" these feelings as deeply as I did this week, before!

FYI, I just got a bill for the 2 classes I took this week. I had no idea they would cost me money as a sub in the district (they never use to and the classes are free for contracted teachers). I actually started laughing when I read the email bill from the school district I have called home for MANY YEARS. Talk about a wake up call!

The barn is burning Debbie, GET OUT!

Granted, I was asked and I agreed, to teach a summer school special ed class for 4 weeks. I signed a short term contract, so it is a done deal. I am also still on the list to sub again in the fall. This simply means that I am lucky, because I have a plan to generate income until I find something better.

However, because of this huge BFO this week, I am truely "feeling" that it is time to be open to a "new career" for me. One that is a good match... Maybe an LBI career, if there is such a thing. Let's look at this a little deeper. What is an LBI career? Not a job but a career! What does it look like? Feel like? Sound like?

Left Brain Introvert horses are fabulous on long trail rides. They are calm, confident and dependable. They like the adventure of the trail but can also stand for hours on the rail eating and relaxing. They enjoy attention and do anything for a reward. They might argue if they feel one path or way is better then another but generally speaking, they are great partners in a variety of situations and don't get easily rattled.

FYI, I put an ad in the newspaper to find Dan... It was a dare. I tried to pull it out a day later. I wish I had the original words I wrote and the actual ad that was posted. The paper changed it almost completely, but Dan found my words among the editors changes and that was what touched my heart. Interestingly, 20 other guys answered the ad. I called them all and told them I was not dating. I tried that with Dan, but my heart was already his.

Our relationship has not always been easy, but there has always been a solid connection between the two of us. He, as it turns out, is my LBI, my steady partner, my rock!

Enough of that.. I feel that my career is out there, I just have to find it, like Dan and I found each other.

Dang, this could be an ad to the universe for my "Perfect Career". One where I am amazingly content, settled and happy!!!

Smooth Sailing...

I was talking to a good friend the other day. I asked her to give me her opinion about a career change I am thinking about making. Her comment surprised me.

She said, "I have no idea why I think about this Debbie, as it is none of my business, but I feel you need to write!"

We were talking on the phone, a tear formed in one eye, tingles shot up the back of my neck and I said, "I only seem to be called to write when my life is filled with emotional, crazy drama! A 'Smooth Sailing' life gives me nothing to write about. I am happy now and life is good, it is perfect! It is the way it should be, but, because of that I really have nothing to say, much less have something exciting to write about."

I have been pondering this conversation for a couple of days. It has been my habit to write, to write volumes in fact, when I am struggling, frustrated, and at my wits end about something that is going on in my life. I must admit, I once led a life full of dramatic events. I was use to living a life full of ups and downs. I was emotionally unbalanced, my emotional fitness was not at it's best. However, I thought that was totally "normal" and thrived upon it. Or, so I thought. Until now.

Interestingly, at the moment I am at peace with my life. Life is running smoothly, I am able to meet each day without a lot of drama, fear or worry. I am becoming a rather centered RBE (right brained extrovert - a Parelli term).

Coincidentally, my horse Ollie is an RBE, at a clinic last summer when Ollie looked at me as though he had no idea what I was asking of him, my instructor told me that Ollie knew the patterns as an RBE, but now that he was using the thinking side of his brain, (acting more like an LBI, Left Brained Introvert) I needed to teach that side of his brain the patterns too. My response was, "Oh my, that makes perfect sense."

Maybe it is the same for me in relationship to my writing! If this is true, then I must teach my confident peaceful self how to write when life is going perfectly.

To write from this peaceful emotionally balanced place of LOVE and contentment is a novel idea to my soul. I am not flat lined, however, I am not living a life on a major adrenaline rush, which is spurred from fear either. I am simply living life, doing what feels like the best option to do in each and every moment. I am living from a different vibration. I react differently to events that once caused fear and worry to arrive. I see these events as opportunities for practice, rather then how I once saw them as possibilities for failure or explosions.

Last night, we had a fabulous opportunity to play an extreme friendly game with the horses. The air was still, the clouds were high, I was in the house, my husband opened the door and hollered in, "I need your help, there is a HUGE balloon in the sky, they need to land in our pasture! The horses are going crazy!" The door slammed, Dan flew toward the barn, the horses were running in circles in their dry lots, heads in the air with their tails flagging!

I calmly slipped on my shoes, took a deep breath as I grabbed my treat bag with my blue Savvy String attached and proceeded to go outside. Above the arena was the balloon. I walked with confidence to the gate, telling myself and Dan that this was a perfect opportunity to play the friendly game with the horses. The balloon was making a loud hissing noise as the pilot adjusted the flow of air. I glanced from the balloon to the horses, knowing that I needed to be the leader for them. I told Dan to head to Ruby's pen, as she was alone. "Go stand with her so she knows she is ok and be CALM!"

I proceeded to move between the balloon and the herd. I noticed Ollie's eyes were bulging from fear, he was trying to get away from the balloon. Hawk was checking to see if he could go under the strand of webbing we use as a gate between the dry lot and the front pasture. Duke, Charm and Jewel were dancing in their dry lots, bucking, kicking and rearing... a very different energy in their pens. Downright playful in fact. In the past, I would have tried to calm my RBE's, but today I decided to be curious and interested in the balloon for my LB horses.

Since, I was in Jewel and Charm's pen now, I asked them to come with me to check out the balloon as it traveled over and away from the dry lots. They followed my leadership and came with me. Charm was licking and chewing, Jewel was watching intently but with a sense of calmness. Ruby was standing with Dan.

Charm and I stood together on top of the small hill, as the balloon landed at the far edge of our property. We watched together, as the air was let out of the sails, I felt a rush of awe come over me. Awe that my horses followed my leadership and were calmer, more confident. Curiosity was the feeling I felt rather then fear. WOW, what a fabulous "extreme friendly game" we were able to share last night.

Remaining calm, confident and curious allowed my herd and husband to follow my lead! It sure is Interesting to see what can result from living life from a place of "Smooth Sailing".
